Walter Hansen is licensed as a Security Consultant by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Board, license no. DD01598. He specializes in helping organizations prepare for emergencies by assessing risks, developing emergency management plans and procedures, and training emergency management team members.

Securing Schools

Out of a strong commitment to making schools safe havens for learning, Mr. Hansen works with the Center for Safe and Secure Schools in developing and presenting a variety of training programs for school administrators and teachers. His well-attended seminars in the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), the National Response Plan, and School Security Assessment have helped school administrators improve their emergency planning to comply with Federal and state mandates.

He also works with school districts in rewriting emergency management plans and standard operating procedures and facilitates group exercises and drills to instill effective emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and prevention techniques.

With more than 28 years of financial auditing, criminal investigation and management experience, Mr. Hansen can help your company to minimize exposure to fraud and theft.

While an executive manager in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he designed and implemented a positive payment system that revolutionized the manner in which the FBI paid its bills and eliminated a growing trend of embezzlement by Bureau employees who had access to funds in FBI offices across the country.

He conducts security surveys for schools and commercial facilities, writes requests for proposal and bid specifications, and assesses bid responses to assist clients in selecting the most capable and responsive companies to improve their security systems.
